Spiritandsong.com's March Music Madness Returns for a Fifth Year
PORTLAND, Oregon, March 25 /Christian Newswire/ -- It's that time of year again. Now in its fifth year, spiritandsong.com's March Music Madness is a popular promotional event that generates a high level of user interaction with the spiritandsong.com website. This year's competition starts today, March 25.
The brainchild of Paul Raspa, web systems manager for spiritandsong.com, March Music Madness is an annual online competition that is modeled after the brackets of the NCAA college basketball tournament. Participants listen to spiritandsong.com tracks and vote on their favorite songs to determine a champion.
During the past three years of March Music Madness, the spiritandsong.com website experienced a dramatic increase in visitors. This year, voters have a chance to win prizes throughout the tournament, including CDs, MP3 downloads, apparel and an Apple iPod Nano.
All participating spiritandsong.com artists have at least two songs in competition. Starting this year on Tuesday, March 25, site visitors will vote to narrow down the Super 64 to the Sweet 16, the Elite 8, the Final Four, and the Champion, crowned on April 7 at the end of the tournament. The competition can become quite heated, with popular songs going head- to-head right down to a round's midnight cutoff.
Among the songs competing in the first round are Ceili Rain's "Kneeling," Josh Blakesley's "Let Your Love Come Down," ValLimar Jansen's "Wade in the Water," and Steve Angrisano's "Go Make a Difference." Which song will make it past the Final Four to seize the championship? Find out for yourself by going to: spiritandsong.com/march.
