The "Real Energy Strategy for America" includes proposals for:

(1) Repealing Bill Clinton's moratorium on America's vast supply of ultra-clean burning coal in Utah, which Sen. Orrin Hatch called the "Saudi Arabia of coal." In 1996, Clinton designated the Grand Staircase- Escalante Monument locking up 1.9 million acres. The coal is not located in an area justifying any scenic or historic protection, but was tacked on arbitrarily.

However, locking up this ultra-clean coal was a windfall to Clinton-Gore campaign donor James Riady, who (a) controls the world's only other supply of such oil in Indonesia, and (b) was convicted of illegal campaign donations to Bill Clinton.

(2) Conversion to clean-burning natural gas, available inside the United States in vast quantities. The U.S. Post Office should immediately replace all post office mail trucks with natural gas. Massive city buses have been running on natural gas for a decade, such as in Los Angeles. Now, all municipal buses and similar vehicles should adopt the proven natural gas design. The Strategy proposes grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation to replace all city buses from communities that wish to participate. Research into natural gas powered cross-country trucks should be funded.

(3) Ending Depression-era agricultural quotas. The Government is still paying farmers not to grow food, and restricting how much farmland can be planted. The Government is causing higher food prices related to ethanol. Biodiesel does not require food crops.

(4) Immediate drilling in the Gulf of Mexico before China partners with Cuba to extract the oil in the Gulf. There are certain key spots for tapping undersea oil, where the oil pokes near the surface. If China sits on those spots, the USA will never be able to. The article points out that offshore oil rigs cannot be seen from the beach, contrary to confused assumptions by many voters, and that high gasoline and jet fuel prices are most likely to destroy Florida's tourist economy.

(5) Immediate extraction of shale oil.

(6) Converting U.S. automobile factories to producing American-made gasoline-powered hybrid cars on a vast scale (but always based on the consumer's voluntary choice)
