Colorado for Equal Rights Extends Gratitude to State Legislators

DENVER, Colorado, March 20 /Christian Newswire/ -- On Monday, March 17th, Colorado for Equal Rights and State Senator Scott Renfroe organized a press conference in which ten state legislators gave their public support to the Colorado Human Life Amendment. Endorsements were given by State Senators Scott Renfroe, Greg Brophy, David Schultheis, Mike Kopp, Josh Penry, Ted Harvey, and Bill Cadman and State Representatives Kent Lambert, Jerry Sonnenberg, and Corey Gardner.

Colorado for Equal Rights applauds the courage of these state legislators in stepping out and taking a stand for those people who have no voice...the unborn. As Senator Greg Brophy stated, "Clearly it's always the right time to take the stand for the sanctity of life."

"The public officials endorsing our amendment know better than most the need for this ballot measure. In order to respect the values of their constituents, these state legislators support giving Colorado voters the direct ability to dictate to the courts and the legislature the value of every person, no matter how small," commented Kristi Burton, spokesperson for Colorado for Equal Rights. "This ballot measure lets the people decide this important issue, instead of the special interests in Denver."

Colorado for Equal Rights urges all volunteers and petition circulators to call or write these state senators and representatives and thank them for endorsing the Colorado Human Life Amendment. Follow this link to find contact info for the legislators: http://www.leg.state.co.us/.
